Walking tour - Richmond, East Melbourne, Fitzroy Gardens to the Treasury Building in the City (approx 60 mins walking) 9.00am - Meet at the Mentone Train Station 10am - Meet Michael Bower (walking guide) at Molly Meldrum's statue in Richmond. 10.20am - Coffee at Rowena Corner Store Richmond. 11am - Then wander through some old timber terrace streets then Yarra Park to East Melbourne. Then walk through Fitzroy Gardens to Treasury Building. 12.30pm - Lunch at the Imperial Hotel Bourke Street. 2.30pm - Head home on the train.

The St Kilda Esplanade Market is a Melbourne icon by the beach. Meet in front of the St Kilda Esplanade Hotel (the Espy) at 11am. We'll casually browse through the market and then go to the Espy Hotel for lunch (if you want to stay on). If we have time we might also visit the penguins on the St Kilda Pier!

Meeting starts at 10am followed by lunch at 12 noon. This month’s guest speaker is Mordialloc Historical Society's – John Macnaughtan and Peter Ratcliff talking about the history of horse racing and racecourses in the bayside area. Meeting cost: Please note there is no longer an fee to attend monthly meetings and morning tea is included. Lunch: Cost $22 per person. Lunch is chicken schnitzel, chips and salad. John has been in a stable relationship with his boyfriend for a number of years. But when he takes a break, he accidentally falls in love with a woman. Torn between the two, filled with guilt and conflicting emotions, he doesn't know which way to turn. His boyfriend is willing to wait for him to make a decision, but so is his girlfriend. And both are prepared to fight to keep him. As the pressure mounts, a dinner with both parties is arranged, and everyone wants to know. Who is John? What does he want? And what will his decision be?  

Mentone beach walk 10.00am (30 mins). Meet in front of Mentone Lifesaving Club on the beach near the kiosk. Followed by coffee at Chain of Fools Café at 10.45am.

Mordialloc + Districts Historical Society new exhibition - “REMARKABLE RESIDENCES” covers some past and present residences, some still standing, some now demolished across the suburbs of Cheltenham, Beaumaris, Mentone, Parkdale and Mordialloc. There are only between 12 and 20 houses per suburb, but we hope there is enough there to whet your appetite and to inspire you. Meet outside the Old Bakery museum, in the Mentone Coles carpark at 11.00am.
