Edithvale – Seaford Wetlands walk
September 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
No cost
Meet at the Bridge Hotel carpark – 10.00am (45mins).
Gently winding around the largest remaining natural wetland in Greater Melbourne, the Edithvale-Seaford Wetlands Trail offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers and families alike. The area is an internationally significant sanctuary, providing a home to over 190 bird species, including migratory waders that travel all the way from Siberia. From the two-storey bird hide on Edithvale Road or the viewing platforms near Austin Road, you might spot sharp-tailed sandpipers, elegant black swans, or even the elusive Australasian bittern. The track itself is mostly flat and paved, making it an easy-going choice.
Followed by coffee at Bridge Hotel Creekside Café at 11.00am.
